As a Digital Creative Foundation (DCF) Lecturer at Media Design School, I worked with students across the Digital Media Certificate programmes, equipping them with the technical and creative skills required for further study and employment within the digital creative industry. I taught graphic design principles and industry-standard software including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Figma, and Visual Studio Code, covering areas such as motion design, web design with HTML and CSS, UI/UX prototyping, and portfolio development.

My role focused on guiding students toward bachelor-level study and helping them build the confidence, professionalism, and creative foundations necessary to pursue careers in design and digital media. I was passionate about fostering creativity, encouraging curiosity, and supporting students as they developed their own unique pathways within the industry.

During my time at Media Design School, I gained valuable experience in mentorship, communication, organisation, and collaboration, working with diverse groups of students and colleagues. While I thoroughly enjoyed teaching and found great satisfaction in helping others grow, the experience also reignited my own passion for design. Inspired by the creativity and ambition of my students, I chose to transition back into industry practice to pursue my long-term interests in graphic design, branding, marketing, packaging, and creative problem-solving.

I remain incredibly grateful for my time at Media Design School, which helped shape my professional standards and strengthened my ability to communicate, lead, and collaborate effectively. The experience reinforced my commitment to creativity and motivated me to continue growing as a designer while contributing to organisations that value innovation and meaningful design.
