The brief

Research and develop a body of work, to test the validity of media and concepts, or experiment. The research may extend elements of prior projects, or beginning of a new project. The primary purpose of basic research is discovery, interpretation or development of a particular subject of your choice. The research project will be viewed by professional practices from industry and displayed in an invited public event.

Why mental health?

The reason I chose mental health as my passion project is because it has a personal meaning.

I Personally went through the affects of anxiety and I had no idea what was going on and why I was feeling this way. I was starting to loose myself worth.

I became obsessed with googling symptoms and I convinced myself I had a serious medical condition other than just good old anxiety.

I seeked medical advice and got constantly told that I just had anxiety but nobody ever told me what it was and what it does to my body, mind and soul. It was a very draining experience.

This however inspired me to create an app with all the resources and information I learnt working with a certified therapist about embracing and accepting anxiety

Meaning:

Why is Same called Same?

Same comes from the expression you would say to your friends and family “Same me too.” I wanted people to relate to my logo and feel connected. With anxiety people tend to be less anxious with reassurance and relation

My logo has two letter c’s that represent people about to touch hands. This part of my logo is to represent connection. The c’s also connect to make a letter s which connects to the name same.

Colour:

soothing blues and grounded greens are highly favoured colours for private practices. Colour palettes that draw from nature are inherently calming and this is often the mood a therapist strives to create in their office.
